Rimmel Lash Accelerator Mascara

This mascara isn't all that new to me as I first came across it in my early teens but years later and the  name continues to intrigues me as my short ass lashes need a good accelerating to be quite honest. Also, the fact that it was on offer at £4.99 was something I couldn't really pass up! I was never one to splash out on mascara in general as I have come to realise the only trick to having a luscious set of lashes, for me, is to wear falsies, But thats not to say that I don't still like to experiment every now and then.

My Nail Discovery

Oh my good gosh and all things holy. I know I'm a tad late on the band wagon but I don't think you will ever see a nail polish remover bottle rolling around my room ever again! These absolute beauties are a little piece of heaven in pink tub. I know Bourjois have released the same concept but paying £4.99 for a lump of acetone soaked sponge is a tad extortionate for a 17 Year old with minimal income. This however was found at BodyCare (in the UK) for the oh so lovely price of £1. It has the exact same concept and you literally just do as it says on the tin...or tub. Just twirl your finger in the sponge for a few seconds and voilà!

MONTHLY FAVOURITES: August

LEFT- Milani Blush in 'Luminoso' | RIGHT- L'oreal Lumi Magique Highlighter pen

The monthly favourites spree of posts is in full swing and I thought it was about time that I shared my own. I did do a mid monthly favourites for this month but I have discovered so many new products that this post would have been about 10 pages long if I didn't split it up. But without further a do, I'm just going to go ahead and start the rambles on my recent favourites.

BACK TO SCHOOL: Make Up Bag

So College is not so surprisingly around the corner. **Sigh** and to make matters worse, I have to start applying for universities and write my personal statement which by the way is a mammoth of a task. One of which I don't want to even think about at this moment in time. Anyway, I always like to be prepared when it comes to college, some may say a bit too prepared but you can never have to many emergency products with you.

The Daily Dose: Brownie in A Mug Attempt

'The Daily Dose' is now what my lifestyle posts will be called to kind of segregate it from the beauty stuff.
Now I was never the avid cook but coming across this 'recipe' on instragram it immediately caught my eye. I love brownies and I'm kind of impatient when it comes to waiting for food so I'm thinking this sort of fits the bill plus the fact that it was is a 1 minute 40 second microwave away from fresh brownie goodness had to done.

I wasn't really sure on the whole quarter cup of flour and sugar so I just trusted my none cook instincts and guessed but the whole mix took only a minute or two to conjure up. I wasn't even expecting it too cook if I'm being honest but I was pleasantly surprised when it came out as a cake like consistency and it didn't taste half bad. I think I added to much cocoa as it was a bit on the intense side and a bit dry but other than that, if you get the proportions right its actually quite tasty! I do recommend you try it, I mean all together it takes up about 5 minutes of your time so it's worth a shot and it's perfect if you're just looking for a quick tasty treat!

MAC LIPSTICK: Vegas Volt

Being a lip junky, every time I enter the realm of MAC, the lip counter always seems to draw me in like a fat kid with cake and I end up walking out with a new lip product without myself even realising it.. I know that is surely classed as some sort of problem but this colour was just to perfect to pass up.
I absolutely adore coral lips through the summer or if I feel daring enough then sporting it through winter is by no means out of line. I know summer is sadly drawing to a close but I feel like purchasing this shade is helping me to prolong that summer feeling.

The Milani Baked Blush: Luminoso

($7.99)

Everyone girl strives for that natural flushed cheek and as I'm sitting here catching the rays with my cold beverage I am too attempting to achieve that same flush of colour.
Blushes are probably one of the biggest sections in my collection (apart from lip products) but it's safe to say that I don't wear blush on a daily basis. I have a variety of shades, formulas, brands but never has a blush impressed me to the extent that I ramble on about it like a crazy lady.

BARGAIN BEAUTIES: Elf Blush and Bronzer Duo

I was never the one to order make up online, I much prefer swatching the product in a store than guessing on an image. So when it came to ELF products it wasn't necessarily something that appealed me. Having travelled to America, ELF was a brand that first caught my attention in the drugstores, as if it wasn't cheap enough already in the UK, in the US it was practically for free. I immediately snatched this well loved duo up to witness all hype for myself.

BARGAIN BEAUTIES: Wet and Wild Eyeshadows

Wet and Wild Trio in 'I'm Getting Sunburned'
Another US product that is not available in UK drugstores. I know... please don't throw rocks at me. But it was too perfect not to pass up the opportunity of a 'Bargain Beauties' post. Finding wonders at budget prices has always given me a bit of a kick and I jump at the chance when a blogger recommends a budget beauty buy. These particular beauties have been on my Wish list for quite some time; usually it is the horrendous purse denting price that helps products remain on there but in this scenario it was the fact that I wasn't actually able to get my fingertips on this blogger favourite.

BARGAIN BEAUTIES: Top 5 Products Under £5

LEFT - Sleek Blush in 'Pixie Pink' | MID LEFT - Baby Lips in 'Cherry Pop' | MID RIGHT - Baby Lips in 'Pink Punch' | RIGHT - Rimmel Scandaleyes eyeliner in '005 Nude'

I'm a huge drugstore make up fan and I think the brands on the high street really have improved to the point that some of their products are of equal or maybe even better standard than those in the high end spectrum. This title has been floating round the blogger's world and youtube for a while and I've been meaning to give it a whirl but i'm just going to put this out there right now.. I'm a massive procrastinator. So it has taken me a while to finally drag my butt up and route through my collection for some gems. I thought it would be quite a task but it took me a mere few minutes to pick them out, so much so, I may have to do another post!
But anyway, I hope you find this useful or at least interesting!

My Lips In Love

Red- Pomegranate and Raspberry | Pink- Strawberry Sorbet | Blue- Sweet Mint

EOS (a.k.a Evolution of Smooth) lip balms.
Ive never seen my lips react so quickly and lovingly to a hydrating lip product. Suffering from quite dry lips, I have been through my fair share of lip balms and treatments on the market and none of them have ever seemed to get it right. Of course, few have come close, for example the Carmex lip balm. For a while I was addicted to the stuff, but once I stopped using it I found that my lips became even worse. I also wasn't a big fan of the slippery oil like texture that sat on the lips.

So when I found that I would be taking a trip to the big US, the EOS lip balms were a product I definitely wanted to get my hands on.

REVIEW: MUA Blushes

Left - Cream Blush in 'Dolly      Right - Powder blush in 'Bubble Gum'
I picked these up on a pure whim when strolling through super drug for some new beauty buys. My first thought was the price, I mean £1.00 for the powder blush and £2.00 for the cream formula, you couldn't really be disappointed because even if you weren't to fond of the product you didn't exactly splash out and if you loved it, well thats just a big win! My second thought was the range of fabulous shades they had on offer!

I hadn't really heard much about the brand MUA apart from the ever famous undressed palette which is a supposed dupe for the Urban Decay Naked palette and the much loved Heaven and Earth palette. Both at the bargain-ous price of £4.00, which again, you can't really go wrong with.

HAUL: Bath and Body Works

As you can tell, I have a new camera and I absolutely love it! The picture quality is just immaculate!

This was a store that I have been dying to visit since I first started reading blogs and watching youtube videos... so you can imagine how long I have been lusting after the products in this store! I have to admit that I did tear up when I walked through the doors and shop workers may or may not have looked at me like I was a freak, fan girling over a freaking candle...
