BUDGET BEAUTY: Ebay Brushes

I may have been a little impatient with trying them before taking pictures, so please excuse the ratchet looking brushes...

I've been looking into buying a few new brushes for a while, but didn't particularly fancy spending £100 on a sigma set. I had heard a few good reviews on brushes from Ebay in the past, but was always a little skeptical on the quality. Though whilst having a general browse through, this set caught my eye being just £14.99 and looking pretty substantial.

Best In Beauty 2013

I've only just realised whilst uploading the pictures that I have in fact, picked out 13 products. I could totally make this into the 'top 13 of 2013' tag floating around on youtube but it was completely unintentional.
The majority of my favourites from 2013 have popped up from the drugstore. Lets be honest, drugstore brands were on a roll the past year, with quite a few releases being dupes for high end products! So without further a do, lets get started shall we.

THOUGHTS: Quick Fix Facials

My skin has been a wreck recently. To be honest, I have a feeling it has something to do with my lack of clean make up brushes, which I can't necessarily complain about seen as though it comes down to no ones fault but my lazy self.
I've trailed through a fair few spot treatments and so I thought it was due time that I tried a face mask or two.

Keep Moisturised: Fall&Winter

When the seasons reach fall and winter, I'm pretty sure our skin is the first to detect and react to the change in weather conditions before we consciously even realise it ourselves. My skin is generally pretty dry except for the T- zones of my face and well lets face it, every other teenager suffers with that ordeal. So to support my skin through the horrifying weather conditions to come, I have a few products to help keep hydrated.

Youtube Made Me TAG

Ever heard the Mean Girl's quote: 'I saw Cady Heron wearing army pants and flip-flops, so I bought army pants and flip-flops'
That quote right there thoroughly describes me when it comes to Youtuber recommendations. So glancing at this tag, I thought it would fit me perfectly. These are just some of the products that a few of my favourite Youtuber's have recommended.

Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer

I know the it looks like a wart on my hand but i promise its just a scab from a bug bite!

(£7.99 at Boots)

It is officially september on this depressed gloomy 1st of september day and that automatically means that college is round the corner. Originally, I had planned to do a 'Back to school' post to kick of the season but I didn't want to force myself into that sad state just yet and thought I would prolong that summer fever.

Trolling through boots, which has become an insane habit might I add, I was on the look out for a product that would prepare me for the sleepiness nights and as a result of that, the fairly unattractive under eye circles during the school weeks. This particular product has gained quite a bit of hype in the beauty community and as firm believer of trusting expert opinions, I opted to give this a whirl. I was also intrigued to see how the unique sponge applicator would fair to the standard doe foot wand.

BACK TO SCHOOL: Make Up Bag

So College is not so surprisingly around the corner. **Sigh** and to make matters worse, I have to start applying for universities and write my personal statement which by the way is a mammoth of a task. One of which I don't want to even think about at this moment in time. Anyway, I always like to be prepared when it comes to college, some may say a bit too prepared but you can never have to many emergency products with you.

BARGAIN BEAUTIES: Elf Blush and Bronzer Duo

I was never the one to order make up online, I much prefer swatching the product in a store than guessing on an image. So when it came to ELF products it wasn't necessarily something that appealed me. Having travelled to America, ELF was a brand that first caught my attention in the drugstores, as if it wasn't cheap enough already in the UK, in the US it was practically for free. I immediately snatched this well loved duo up to witness all hype for myself.

BARGAIN BEAUTIES: Top 5 Products Under £5

LEFT - Sleek Blush in 'Pixie Pink' | MID LEFT - Baby Lips in 'Cherry Pop' | MID RIGHT - Baby Lips in 'Pink Punch' | RIGHT - Rimmel Scandaleyes eyeliner in '005 Nude'

I'm a huge drugstore make up fan and I think the brands on the high street really have improved to the point that some of their products are of equal or maybe even better standard than those in the high end spectrum. This title has been floating round the blogger's world and youtube for a while and I've been meaning to give it a whirl but i'm just going to put this out there right now.. I'm a massive procrastinator. So it has taken me a while to finally drag my butt up and route through my collection for some gems. I thought it would be quite a task but it took me a mere few minutes to pick them out, so much so, I may have to do another post!
But anyway, I hope you find this useful or at least interesting!

REVIEW: MUA Blushes

Left - Cream Blush in 'Dolly      Right - Powder blush in 'Bubble Gum'
I picked these up on a pure whim when strolling through super drug for some new beauty buys. My first thought was the price, I mean £1.00 for the powder blush and £2.00 for the cream formula, you couldn't really be disappointed because even if you weren't to fond of the product you didn't exactly splash out and if you loved it, well thats just a big win! My second thought was the range of fabulous shades they had on offer!

I hadn't really heard much about the brand MUA apart from the ever famous undressed palette which is a supposed dupe for the Urban Decay Naked palette and the much loved Heaven and Earth palette. Both at the bargain-ous price of £4.00, which again, you can't really go wrong with.
