The Sunday Edit #3

Though on the night of halloween I was stuck inside house sitting and answering the door to little'ens and scream masks. This weekend has been most eventful having attended 3 halloween gatherings; two of which being on a friday. The first night I was attired in vampire wear, although the fangs didn't work out quite as expected, I was fairly impressed with the make up I had come up with. The outfit was a total 'make use of your wardrobe' ensemble, with a black velvet playsuit and a cape from previous years. The saturday party was a last minute do so instead of going as the same thing, I just used the same outfit and drew a batman mask on my face...talk about versatility! However, today the cousins decided to have a little lunch out so I had to be out the door by 11:30am which isn't the smartest decision I've made, what with the slight hangover from the night before and possibly even friday.

So there's what Ive been up to recently, hope you've all had a nice week :)

Manicures Of The French

Now I'm not all to sure if the french manicure actually originated from the french but it does seem a tad strange if say, the Portuguese discovered it and named it 'french'.
However I'm pretty sure that when it comes to the humble manicure, the French manicure will almost always certainly come out on top. Nowadays, I find that acrylic nailed white tips can come off a tad too fake what with just about every girl caked with make up, dangling extensions, topped off with the over sized fake nail somewhat giving the once sophisticated manicure a negative impression. Don't get me wrong, I think acrylics can make such a difference but I do suggest not going over the top and choosing a size and length that do not match your hands.

NOTD #1

After the miraculous weather change that the UK has been having recently, I have, of course, taken advantage of the sunshine and bagged myself quite the tan
So in order to enhance my newly bronzed skin I decided to paint my nails in a bright Coral almost orange toned red shade, perfect for the summer!

I used Barry M's 'Coral'. I have always been a fan of Barry M nail paints and I remember it being the first vanish I bought and now in fact makes up the majority of my collection.
So I highly recommend this shade for summer for that bright, almost neon pop of colour and just Barry M nail polishes in general!
