I'm about to make a big confession.... i have a bit of an obsession for lip products; I always feel accomplished when returning home from a shopping trip with a good lipstick or gloss so as part of my summer selection series I thought a Top 5 would fit nicely.
1. MAC 'Shy girl' We all have our favourite nude shades and this just so happens to be mine...and apparently about 2 million other peoples by the sound of it. it is a Cremesheen formula so is hydrating and glides easily on the lips for easy application. Also, the fact that it has a peachy pink tone doesn't cancel out your natural lip colour and.... doesn't make you look ill basically
2. REVLON Colour Burst Lip Butter 'Wild Watermelon' I love red lips. so any chance I get to slap on a red lip I will seize the wonderful opportunity. This shade is a gorgeous true red and can be worn as sheer wash on the lips or layered to be intense and opaque. Either way, the fact that it is a lip butter screams hydration and trust me, your lips with thank you!
3. REVLON Colour Burst Lip Butter 'Juicy papaya' another lip butter... hydration! This shade is definitely true to it's name; a lovely peachy coral that will complement that sun kissed tan perfectly. It just looks so... juicy!! i find that on the lips the colour is quite sheer so I tend to layer Revlon Super Lustrous Lipgloss in 'Coral Reef' over the top if i want to intensify that colour
4. MAC 'ChatterBox' this is just a bright blue toned barbie pink that gives your lips that pop of colour and is once again a perfect summer shade. The fact that it is quite a muted pink makes it easier to wear everyday and suits just about any skin tone. However, due to the intense pigmentation, with it being an Amplified, it can be quite drying so be sure to apply a lip balm beforehand
5. REVLON Colour Burst Lip Butter 'Sorbet' this is another shade in the lip butter collection that can be worn as a sheer wash on the lips or can be layered to be an opaque, intense fuchsia pink. This is personally one of my favourite shades in the collection just because it is a bright fun fuchsia without drying your lips out and keeping it hydrated
