Review: NAKED basics palette

After producing both the Naked and Naked 2 palette, Urban Decay decided that it just wasn't enough.. and so the Naked basics palette was born!
It includes 6 shadows: 5 matte and 1 satin shade.

THE PACKAGING:-
It is of course ideal for travelling as it is so compact and the materials used makes the palette sturdy and not easily broken, much like the packaging for Naked 2. I love how they have made the mirror the size of the palette which makes it even more ideal for travelling as you then don't need to carry an extra mirror!
Although, I sometimes struggle opening it as it has a snap shut lid...Now I don't know if that's just me or if that's a problem others have but either way, I find a way to open it up eventually so it's not a big issue.

THE EYESHADOWS:-
As with all the Urban Decay shadows, these do not disappoint. The actual product is finely milled for easy application and is soft to the skin. Also, they are very highly pigmented and have a great colour pay off which is essential as half of the shades are very light.
I think the shades they have chosen to include in the palette are practical and easy to work with to create a various different neutral looks for everyday.

Also, i love that they included a matte black 'Crave' for the days when you want a softer liner look.
The 'Venus' has a satin texture and slight shimmer which is  a perfect inner corner highlight to brighten up those eyes on tired mornings.

CONCLUSION:-
All in all, i feel that if you travel a lot then it is ideal having all the neutral colours in one compact palette for easy access and just to add a bit of colour to the eyes. However if you have both the Naked palettes already and are just looking to expand the collection then I don't think it is worth the money as all the shades are either in the Naked palette (or are similar) or you will already have a dupe in your collection.

Le swatches:-
