Lets Talk Taupe

Matte, grunge-y smoked eyes have been somewhat of a 'go to' recently, and taupe's been a shade that has helped to achieve the seemingly effortless look. I can only really describe taupe as being a grey toned brown? ... brown toned grey? Either way, Drugstores have been releasing a host of variations, and I am hooked.

Pastels make their mark just about every spring, and this year is certainly no different. Deborah Lippmann has released six fabulously opaque polishes in the Spring Reveries collection; all of which I'm dying to get my hands on!

Ah the humble crayon. As much as I adore the flexibility of the concept, I simply wasn't head over heels in love with the continuous glossy formula that was being released alongside it. However, Revlon have once again answered my somewhat silent prayers and finally released a matte offering. 

Mini London Beauty Haul

Oh how I've missed blogging, its been what... 5 days? It feels like I've been away for 5 years! If you haven't already figured out from the title, I took a little trip to london and missed college, how rebellious. The soul purpose being to see the magnificent Taylor Swift in concert at the O2. It was amazing, spectacular, life changing... okay maybe not the last one, but I'm a huge fan so I guess you could say it was. 

Fan girling out of the way. I did manage to pick up a few beauty bits whilst on my travels; though not exactly a mountain of goodies, I thought it was worth a quick post to provide me with an opportunity to explain my absence. 

MONTHLY FAVOURITES: January

Congrats everyone, we did it! We officially got through the most depressing month of the year. To be honest I think its flown by, but having to get back into that continuous routine has been quite the challenge. Nonetheless, I have discovered some crackers in the month of January and can't wait to share them with you all.

Eating a tangerine while writing this and it's so dry I can almost feel my mouth dehydrating... *shuffles to the bin*.

 Of course, drugstore primers are both a blessing and a slight curse. Though there isn't a hefty price tag, It does often brake me out, or not even fulfil its job as a primer. So with that in mind, I was in fact a little skeptical when returning home with the product at hand.

The Sunday Edit: Small Drugstore Haul

So instead of revealing my week to you all, (which to be honest, hasn't been much) I thought I would make it a tad more interesting and share a few bits I picked up at the drugstore. Some are standard repurchases and others are what have been cropping up more recently; curiosity and advertising simply won me over. 

Sleek Arrival at Boots!

I may be a tad late on the bandwagon but I was doing a little browsing on Boots (as per usual) and spotted Sleek on the 'New' tab! At this point, I certainly did little happy dance while sat on the sofa and received a few odd stares from Le Parents.

 It seems the prices are the same in both Boots and Superdrug and they are stocking everything Sleek has to offer. Now the only problem is, I have yet to see it in stores, so I'm hoping that shelves will be getting stocked up sometime soon as my nearest Superdug doesn't actually offer Sleek. I am definitely excited to be trying out more of the range as it will hopefully be more easily accessible!

It seems as though I've been betraying quite a few products recently, first my beloved Maybelline Gel liner and now unfortunately my former nude lover Mac's shy girl, whom maybe feeling a tad left out... is it weird that I'm personifying beauty products? Eh, who's classed as 'normal' these days anyway.

If it isn't obvious from the title, this post will now be a weekly sh-bang for just general catchup and how the week has been :)

As a result of this week, those 2 images above are now permanently engraved into my poor little brain. College had oh so kindly thrown us a few Mock exams and so my days have been stuck studying and drinking flavoured tea.

To lift myself from this sad state, I have frequently been purchasing a 50p sweet mix from an ice cream van parked outside our college, I know I'm such a kid. The jelly snakes are simply a childhood memory.. I mean who wouldn't pass one up!

So long story short... studying. exams. life. So much for living life on the edge.

I hope your week has been much more exciting than mine has!

After producing both the Naked and Naked 2 palette, Urban Decay decided that it just wasn't enough.. and so the Naked basics palette was born!

Introducing me...

My very first post. This should really be remembered! Well I'm Chloe and I am a 17 year old girl living in the lovely place that is England (which is really not lovely considering the weather conditions we have to endure...which I maybe over exaggerating but who says thats was always a bad thing) 

I may remember this day as the whimsical beginning of my career as a beauty blogger when I am successful, working for vogue and such other fantasies that may or may not come true. OR this blog may become just another failing attempt at becoming the next Anna Wintour or Zoella (who I absolutely adore and practically stalk her blog!) and seemingly crush my beauty dreams. 

Either way, as of right now on this quite chilly and dark night (obviously) I fantasise that one day this blog may be all the talk in the 'bloggersphere' and hopefully will become a successful blog. 

Anyway, aside from the fantasies, I just thought this would be a seemingly light first post to get into the swing of things and grasp the fact that anybody...everybody...or even nobody can now read my thoughts and opinions in this quite scary world of internet. 

 I love all things fashion and beauty related hence the beginning of my blog. As cliché and shallow as that may seem, i do have other interests, i promise, but I think I'll save that for some other random post. So... yeah!
