Mini London Beauty Haul

Oh how I've missed blogging, its been what... 5 days? It feels like I've been away for 5 years! If you haven't already figured out from the title, I took a little trip to london and missed college, how rebellious. The soul purpose being to see the magnificent Taylor Swift in concert at the O2. It was amazing, spectacular, life changing... okay maybe not the last one, but I'm a huge fan so I guess you could say it was.
Fan girling out of the way. I did manage to pick up a few beauty bits whilst on my travels; though not exactly a mountain of goodies, I thought it was worth a quick post to provide me with an opportunity to explain my absence.

THOUGHTS: NYX Mega Shine Lipgloss

I must admit, when it comes down to beauty products, lipgloss is an aspect that I'm neither here nor there with. The tacky texture swept across the lips often results in half my head of hair glued to my face and that most certainly will never be an attractive trend, though peculiar some fashion statements maybe.

My 'Go To' Berry Lip Combination

LEFT- Plumful | MIDDLE- Double Dare | RIGHT- plumful layered with double dare
Due to the drastic temperature changes in this lovely place we call England, I can now officially say it is Autumn. Now, I'm not all too into the colder months as I much prefer the shorts and tee look but make up is something that I quite look forward to changing up, what with the more dark vampy tones in season.

SUMMER SELECTION SERIES: Summer Make Up Bag Essentials

So my summer selection series is expanding and I thought this would be another simple post as to what I typically carry in my makeup bag in the summer; wether it be a shopping day or a day out with friends

Purchases at Harvey Nichols Beauty Bazaar

Watching an interview with Miranda Kerr's make up artist, Noni Smith, I had my heart set on Nars velvet Matte lip pencil in 'Red Square' which is a classic orange based red that suits all skin types and enhances the whiteness of your teeth which is ALWAYS an added bonus!

My other purchase was the Mac's Cremesheen glass in 'Double Dare' I immediately got drawn to this colour as it reflected Mac's lustre lipstick in 'plumful' which is one of my favourites. With this in mind, I wanted to rush home and layer the two to enhance that warm Berry colour, it may not be a summer shade but I was quite content with the purchases I made!

Here are the swatches:-
Left- Mac's lustre lipstick in 'plumful' layered with Mac's Cremesheen glass in 'double dare'
Middle- Mac's Cremesheen glass in 'double dare'
Right- Nars velvet matte lip pencil in 'red square'

Love,
